How a Good Project Actually Runs

It starts with documenting the condition and pinning down the real problem.

1. Notice it, protect it

Note what you're seeing, keep further damage from spreading if you safely can, and jot down when it started.

2. Look at the whole house and lot

A workable plan covers where water is entering, how the liner will be anchored against expansive red clay movement, whether termite inspectors can still reach the foundation wall, air sealing at the rim joist, equipment placement, and the condition of the framing underneath it all.

3. Put the scope in writing

Nail down prep, protection, materials, access, permits, testing, cleanup, restoration, exclusions, and how changes get handled.

4. Weigh the providers against each other

Check credentials and compare the thinking behind each bid, not just the bottom-line number.

5. Walk through at closeout

Confirm testing was done, the site was cleaned up, documentation was handed over, and warranty terms are clear.
